Bhooth Bangla posted its best single-day box office figures on day 3, the first Sunday, signalling a strong opening weekend. As per a report from Sacnilk, the Hindi film earned Rs 23cr on that day alone, after a sharp jump in audience turnout. The report stated that Bhooth Bangla's Sunday business rose by more than 21% compared with its earlier daily numbers. With the Sunday jump, Bhooth Bangla's total box office collection reached Rs 58cr by the end of day 3.

Given the ongoing trend, Bhooth Bangla is expected to see a massive dip in numbers of over 50% today and struggle to earn Rs 15cr. The horror comedy is likely to earn Rs 10-12cr today (day 4/ first Monday) and is expected to inch close to Rs 75cr mark

Meanwhile, talking about reuniting with Akshay, Priyadarshan told PTI, "Every film I've made with him has been a super hit. People say that you are the reason Akshay (does comedy), but I don't believe in all those things. What I did was exploit his sense of humour (on screen). We are working after 14 years and I hope things will work. It's a challenge. We can't match the expectations (of the audience) but I'm trying my best".
