Not all the celebrities in Bollywood are born with silver spoon in mouth. There are many actors who have struggled and fought their way to the top. People who did junior artist jobs in Bollywood have today become notable stars.

Shahid Kapoor
Shahid has great dancing skills and was part of Shaimak Davar's dancing troupe and since he was choreographing for Taal, Shahid got to be in the troupe behind Aishwarya Rai in the song 'Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaye'.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Decades ago he had appeared as a small criminal in Aamir Khan starrer Sarfarosh in 1999. He was seen in a similar role in Talaash too. But with films like Kahaani and Gangs of Wasseypur, he gained maximum prominence.

Irrfan Khan
Irrfan got noticed in Haasil in 2003. But years before that he had a small role of a man who writes letters to make some money in the Oscar nominated Hindi film Salaam Bombay.

Shreyas Talpade
He started off his career with a blink and miss role in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Aankhen. He played the role of a chaiwallah at the railway station where blind Paresh Rawal begs alms. Years later he won accolades and awards for his role in Iqbal.

Mithun Chakraborty
Mithun started as ruffian who keeps passing rude remarks to Amitabh Bachchan in the film Do Anjaane. He just had no name, no role, no relevance. He also played one amongst the friend circle of Rishi Kapoor in Phool Khile Hai Gulshan Gulshan. And then Disco Dancer came along.

Zoya Akhtar
More than a decade ago, she starred in a small role in Mira Nair's Kamasutra where she appeared as a courtesan and a disciple to Rekha. She came into limelight when she made her directorial debut with Luck By Chance in 2009.

Rajpal Yadav
Years ago he played a 10 second role in Ram Gopal Varma's movie Shool, where he played the role of a porter who messes with Manoj Bajpai and asks for more money than usual. He was later noticed in a Hindi film called Jungle.

Sushant Singh
In 1998, Singh was seen in a one-bit role in RGV's cult flick Satya. Years later Ram Gopal Varma again introduced him as the negative lead in Jungle.

Faisal
Faisal played a junior artist in two of Aamir Khan's films. Faisal played an eve-teaser in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and a college bystander in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. Both these films were directed by his cousin Mansoor Khan.

Sadhana
Actress Sadhana, known for her 'Jhumka Gira Re' song from Mera Saaya, was earlier a part of the group dancers for a song in Raj Kapoor's film Shri 420. She played a chorus girl amidst the group in the song 'Mud Mud Ke Na Dekh'.
