Vidya Balan in The Dirty Picture

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, who recently won the Filmfare Best Actress award for her performance in Paa as Amitabh Bachchan's mother, is in for a change. She has been approached to play the role of South Indian sex bomb Silk Smitha.

The news is doing the rounds that Ekta Kapoor is making a biopic on Silk Smitha titled The Dirty Picture. The film will focus on the tragic last days of the actress, who entertained the people with her sexy moves. It is reported that Vidya has been approached to play Smitha in the film.

Ekta Kapoor said that she waited for almost two years for writer Rajat Arora to complete the script of the film. It is about women empowerment and dark side of stardom and Milan Luthria is directing it.
