Ishq Vishk Rebound Review: In 2003, Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, and Shenaz Treasurywala starrer Ishq Vishk was released. The film, which was directed by Ken Ghosh, was a super hit at the box office. Now after 21 years, a spiritual sequel to the film, titled Ishq Vishk Rebound has been released. The movie stars Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grrewal in the lead roles. So, is this film worth your time and money? Find out in our review below...

The movie revolves around three childhood friends Raghav (Rohit Saraf), Sanya (Pashmina Roshan), and Sahir (Jibraan Khan). After they grow up, Sahir and Sanya start dating each other, but later they breakup. Raghav falls in love with a girl named Riya (Naila Grrewal), but even they breakup. Now, as a rebound Sanya and Raghav start liking each other, and they start dating. But, is it love or just a rebound, and what will happen when Sahir will come to know about this new relationship between Sanya and Raghav? Well, to know the answers of these questions, you need to watch the film, but we would recommend, don't watch it!

When it comes to the basic concept of the film, there's nothing new. So, when you don't have a fresh or unique storyline, it all depends on the direction, and Nipun Dharmadhikari's narration is surely not up to the mark. Dharmadhikari has earlier directed a few Marathi movies, and had also won a National Award for his Marathi film Dhappa. But, he has failed to deliver an entertaining film with Ishq Vishk Rebound.

The film's runtime is just 106 minutes, but still it seems streched especially in the first half. The first half of Ishq Vishk Rebound is very boring, the screenplay and the narration is very weak. In the second half, post interval, the movie does become better, but only to once again dip after a few minutes.

Ishq Vishk Rebound Actors' Performances

Talking about performances, Rohit Saraf has been given the meatier role here, and he has performed well. He looks cute, suits the role, and has given a good performance. Pashmina Roshan, who makes her debut with the film, looks pretty and dances well. She has a good presence and we look forward to watching her in more films.

Jibraan Khan doesn't have much to do in the first half, but he gets a good screen time in the second half, and he is the best in the star cast. He looks charming, has a great screen presence, and leaves a strong mark with his act. While watching the film, you will surely feel like you want to watch Jibraan more. One of the most disappointing elements in the film is that the makers have wasted Naila Grrewal (Thappad, Mamla Legal Hai fame). She is undoubtedly one of the most talented actresses we have in the industry currently, and in this film, she is totally wasted with a few scenes that don't do justice to her talent.

Kusha Kapila in her cameo will surely make you laugh out loud. Supriya Pilgaonkar does grab our attention, and Sheeba Chaddha proves that even with one scene in the film, she can leave a strong mark and make it the best scene of the movie.

Ishq Vishk Rebound Music

The music in the film is good. The recreated versions of the song, Ishq Vishk and Gore Gore Mukhde Pe, surely grab our attention. Also, the choreography of the songs is damn good.

Ishq Vishk Rebound Review Final Verdict

Overall, Ishq Vishk Rebound turns out to be a boring film because of the weak narration. Maybe if you are a GenZ or Gen Alpha, this movie might attract you, but on the whole it fails to entertain. So, it's better to watch Shahid Kapoor-Amrita Rao starrer Ishq Vishk on Amazon Prime Video.
