The Official Netflix YouTube Channel just recently uploaded a trailer for an upcoming kids animated film titled 'Spellbound'. The trailer can be watched below.

For those that are a fan of cute animation movies, or are curious to see whether this will be a good watch for their kids, here are some of the details you need to know.

Story Summary Of The Animated Movie 'Spellbound'

'Spellbound' will follow the story of a young princess, Ellian who is the daughter of the rules of Lumbria. One day, her parents entered a dark forest which turned them into strange-looking monsters. The people of the kingdom, upon learning of the odd fate of their rulers, decide to cast them out into the wilderness to avoid any future harm. Ellian then decides to run away with her parents-turned-monsters, and alongside her little purple companion, she makes it her mission to find a cure for their condition.

Those that have seen the movie 'Brave' will actually find a lot of similarities between the plot of both these movies. A young teenage princess going on an adventure to cure a condition of one of their parental figures that turned them into a monster.

What makes the movie truly enchanting, though, are neither the plot nor the characters. The most enchanting parts are the design and visuals. The world leans heavily into the fantasy genre, with every aspect of it containing some aspect of magic. From the architecture, to the monster biology, to even the designs of the clothes, every aspect of the trailer seems to ooze with creative fantasy designs.

Cast And Crew Behind The Movie 'Spellbound'

The movie has a lot of talent behind it. It'll be directed by Vicky Jenson, who has worked before on 'Shrek', with music composed by Alan Menken, who made the soundtrack for 'Beauty And The Beast'.

There is also a strong voice cast which features Rachel Zegler, John Lithglow, Jenifer Lewis, Nathan Lane, Tituss Burgess, Javier Bardem, and Nicole Kidman.
