London (ANI): Carey Mulligan has been hailed as ''''the new Audrey Hepburn'''' by Variety magazine. The 24-year-old star, who was rejected by three drama schools, stunned all with her performance in An Education. Time magazine declared: ''''A star is born'''', reports the Telegraph.

Mulligan, who made her acting debut in 2005, gained widespread recognition for playing the role of Jenny in the movie. She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance.
