B Sarojadevi skips IFFI-2008

Actress B Sarojadevi, who is to be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, is not attending the International Film Festival of India 2008. She had been to the place but she returned without attending the film fest. Three of her movies including Babroovahana will be screened at the film fest.

Sarojadevi has returned without attending the fest for she has got some other commitment. She said that she had been to inauguration function and she had stayed in the hotel on Saturday night. The organisers asked her to stay till 26 Nov, but it was not possible for her to stay.

According to the organisers, a room in Hotel Panchatara was arranged for Sarojadevi to stay. She left the hotel because she did not feel comfortable to stay there. The organisers said that they had arranged air ticket, hotels to stay and tickets to watch movies for all the guest who were attending the film fest.

However, it is said that there is a kind of discrimination between Aryans and Dravidians.
