Gurukiran batting at 50

Gurukiran made his debut as a music director with Upendra's A, which turned to be major hit. This was followed with the success of another Upendra film, titled Upendra. Since then, there has been no looking back and he went on to deliver some very melodious songs for various Kannada films.

He also composed the music for the hit film, Jogi, directed by Prem. The movie's audio sales before the film's release was an all-time record in the Kannada film industry. His fiftieth film as a music director (in his career span of ten years) is the yet-to-be released Satya in Love, starring Shivaraj Kumar in the lead.
