Tajmahal is set to hit screens on 25 July

When movie Tajmahal releases on Friday, 25 July, it will become the first Kannada film to be released simultaneously in Karnataka and in the UK. The distributors have made all the arrangements for the film's release in several theatres across Karnataka and four centres in the UK. Earlier, several films have been released simultaneously in the US, Dubai and Singapore, but never in the UK.

Tajmahal has gained popularity even before its release, thanks to its songs which are already a rage in the state. Tajmahal, featuring Ajay and Pooja Gandhi in lead roles, is produced by Shivashankar Reddy. Music is by Abhiman and cinematography is by K.S. Chandrasekhar.

Speaking to the media, director R. Chandru said the film was supposed to release on 18th July, but since another film Moggina Manasu, was also releasing on that date, they postponed it to 25th July. He also expressed his happiness in getting a clean 'U' certificate from the Censor Board and said this is a real encouragement for a debut director like him.
