Suman plays Pazhayaveedan Chandru

The blockbuster movie Sivaji: the Boss had Suman playing the negative role of Adhisheshan. His performance in the movie fetched him another big offer to act in the big budget venture Pazhassi Raja starring Mammootty in the lead.

For Suman, who has acted in several Tamil and Telugu films, this is his first Malayalam film. Pazhassi Raja, directed by Hariharan with a script by M.T. Vasudevan, will have Suman playing the role of Pazhayaveedan Chandru. The film also stars Sarath Kumar in an important role.

Reportedly Suman has taken special training in Kalaripayattu (one of the oldest forms of martial arts that started in Kerala) for this role.
