Madonna's monetary love for Kaballah

Washington (ANI): Singer Madonna has established her place as a true Kabbalah follower by donating 5.1 million dollars to its charities, according to her tax records. The pop star first publicly embraced the faith in 2001 three years after she founded her own non-profit the 'Ray of Light Foundation'. The foundation seeks to benefit health, music and children-related charities.

But according to U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filings, the organisation has given just 25 per cent, or 1.3 million dollars to non-Kabbalah groups.

Prior to the shift in donations, records indicate 'Ray of Light' made contributions to more than two-dozen charities between 1998 and 2000 the same year the foundation gave 500,000 dollars of 1.24 million dollars to Kabbalah-related organisations.

In 2006, the Ray of Light foundation raised 341,124 dollars and a 250,000 dollars share of that went to Kabbalah-based charities.
