Pete Doherty arrested for drug possession

London (ANI): Singer Pete Doherty has been taken into custody after reportedly turning up at court with drugs. Officials spotted what they suspected to be crystal meth, Class A drug as, the 30-year-old Babyshambles frontman arrived to face drug and driving charges.

They allowed Doherty to be dealt with by the judge at Gloucester Crown Court. “A 30-year-old man from Wiltshire has been arrested in Gloucester on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance," the Daily Star quoted a police spokesman as saying.

Doherty was fined 2,050 pounds and banned from driving for 18 months for careless and drink-driving and possessing drugs in the city in June.
