Christina Aguilera rubbishes Gaga copycat slurs

London, (ANI): Christina Aguilera has rubbished Akon's allegations that she's copying Lady Gaga's look and sound. Akon, who prides himself for discovering Gaga after he signed her to his KonLive label at Interscope Records in 2007, has accused Aguilera for "trying to do the exact same thing musically" as the Telephone singer on her forthcoming record Bionic.

However, Aguilera has laughed off the R&B star's claims. "It just comes with the territory. That, in particular, is not even worth wasting the breath to comment on. I've been around for over a decade and I think my work speaks for myself," the Daily Star quoted her as saying.
