Directed and co-produced by Nandita Das and bankrolled by Applause Entertainment, 'Zwigato' had its theatrical release on 17th March 2023. Set in Bhubaneswar, 'Zwigato' is a compelling story that sheds light on the struggle of the working class amid the Covid-19 pandemic crisis.

The film stars Kapil Sharma as 'Manas', an ex-floor manager of a factory who lost his job during the pandemic. After being jobless for several months, Manas finally starts working as food delivery boy to care of his family financially. On the other hand, celebrated actress Shahana Goswami plays the role of Manas' wife Pratima. 'Zwigato' also features Gul Panag, Sayani Gupta, Swanand Kirkire, Tushar Acharya, Dipanwit Dashmohapatra, Abhishek Giri and Prasenjit Mohapatra among others in important roles.

Despite receiving positive reviews, the film tanked at the box office. As per reports, the movie grossed approximately Rs 3.53 cr in India during its theatrical run.

Zwigato OTT Release Date, Platform: When & Where To Watch Online?

Finally after a long wait, Kapil Sharma's highly-awaited movie 'Zwigato' is arriving on OTT. While the official announcement in yet to be made, it's said the film will have its OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 25th October 2024.

Kapil-Shahana's 'Zwigato' had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (tiff) in September 2022. The film was also screened at the Busan International Film Festival in October 2022.
