Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai new cast: It's difficult to keep calm as the makers of YRKKH will air the leap episodes from tonight on Star Plus. After months of speculations, it was confirmed that Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod would make a departure from the hit serial. It's not a cakewalk to run a show for over 14 years. Keeping the legacy of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai alive, Rajan Shahi and the channel have introduced the fourth generation of the show.

YEH RISHTA KYA KEHLATA HAI FOURTH GENERATION CAST

Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda have made a graceful exit from YRKKH, leaving the audience. After several rounds of auditions, the casting team finalised Samridhi Shukla and Shehzada Dhami as the new leads of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

"The casting team and the creative team liked Samridhi's audition for Yeh Rishta. She suits the bill perfectly for the show and is not overexposed on television just like Shivangi Joshi and Pranali Rathod, when they were roped in for YRKKH. Instead of dragging the storyline further, the makers thought of introducing a leap and hence, Pranali-Harshad will make an exit from the serial. Samridhi's acting chops and her innocence were big factors in bagging her the meaty role in a show like YRKKH" a source exclusively told Filmibeat.

1- SAMRIDHII SHUKLA AKA ABHIRA

After playing the lead role in Saavi Ki Savaari, Samridhi Shukla will be seen as Abhira in YRKKH. She will play Abhinav and Akshara's daughter in the popular serial. Her character will be paired opposite Armaan.

2- SHEHZADA DHAMI AKA ARMAAN

While Samridhi is playing the role of Abhira, Shehzada Dhami will be seen as the male lead of YRKKH. He will step into Harshad Chopda's show and take over the charge as the protagonist of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

3- PRATIKSHA HONMUKHE AKA RUHI

Guess who will play the role of grown-up Ruhi in YRKKH? Pratiksha Honmukhe has joined the show as Neil and Arohi's daughter and she will be seen as the third wheel in Abhira and Armaan's relationship.

4- ANITA RAJ

Joining the show is veteran actress Anita Raj, who will essay the role of Armaan's grandmother and Abhira's grandmother-in-law. The Choti Sarrdaarni actress will be seen as Mrs. Poddar, the matriarch of the Poddar family.

5- SHIVAM KHAJURIA AKA ROHIT PODDAR

Shivam Khajuria is playing the role of Rohit Poddar, who is Vidya's step-son and Armaan's half-brother. The actor recently quit Kumkum Bhagya as the show headed towards a generation leap.

6- SHRUTI ULFAT AKA ARMAAN MOM VIDYA PODDAR

Sasural Genda Phool actress will be seen as Vidya Poddar, who is Armaan's mother and Rohit's step-mother.
