Mammootty's Pathemari On September 18

Mammootty starrer upcoming movie Pathemari will hit the theatres on September 18th. The movie, which is said to be a historical fiction drama, is written and directed by National Award winning filmmaker Salim Ahamed.

Pathemari revolves around the central character Pallickal Narayanan, played by Mammootty. Narayanan is an NRI who migrates to Gulf in beginning of 1980's. Mammootty will play the three stages of Narayanan's life, from 1980's to 2015.

Jewel Mary plays the female lead, Nalini in the movie. Interestingly, she has also played the heroine in the recently released Mammootty starrer Utopiayile Rajavu. Even though Pathemari is her debut movie, Utopiayile Rajavu hit the theatres first.

It is the second association of Mammootty and Salim Ahamed, who have earlier teamed up for the acclaimed movieKunjananthante Kada. Actor Siddique's eldest son, Shaheen Siddique is making his acting debut with Pathemari.

Shaheen is playing the son of Pallickal Narayanan and Nalini in the movie. Siddique is also playing a pivotal role. The rest of the star cast include Balachandra Menon, Sreenivasan, Salim Kumar, Joy Mathew, Yavanika Gopalakrishnan etc.

Madhu Ambat handles the cinematography. Bijibal composes the music. Rasool Pookutty handles the audiography. Pathemari is produced by TK Aashiq and TP Sudheesh, under the banner Allens Media.
