Coolie: Sundeep Kishan Gets Exclusive Preview, Predicts ₹1000 Crore For Rajinikanth’s Action Thriller

Coolie - Sundeep Kishan Predicts ₹1000 Crore Box Office: Superstar Rajinikanth's highly anticipated Tamil action thriller Coolie is set to hit screens in 2025. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, the film boasts a star-studded cast, including Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, and Junior MGR.

Announced in September 2023 as Thalaivar 171, the film received its official title in April 2024. Filming began in July, with major sequences shot in Chennai, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Jaipur, and Bangkok. Featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, and editing by Philomin Raj, Coolie is slated for a grand worldwide release in standard and IMAX formats.

The first-look poster of Coolie was revealed on March 28, 2024. The film's title was officially announced through a teaser released on April 22. Later, on December 12, 2024, to mark Rajinikanth's birthday, a 59-second glimpse featuring the song Chikitu Vibe was unveiled.

Actor Sundeep Kishan, a close friend of director Lokesh Kanagaraj, recently visited the sets of Coolie and was captivated by Superstar Rajinikanth's performance. While speculation arose about his involvement in the film, Sundeep clarified that he is not part of the cast. However, he did get an exclusive preview of the film and was highly impressed.

According to industry reports, Sundeep Kishan revealed in a recent interview that he watched 45 minutes of Coolie and believes it has the potential to be a massive box office success. Expressing his excitement, he confidently predicted that the film would cross ₹1000 crore in collections.

Coolie Cast and Crew

Coolie boasts a star-studded ensemble, headlined by superstar Rajinikanth as Deva. Joining him are Nagarjuna as Simon, Upendra as Kaleesha, Soubin Shahir as Dayal, and Sathyaraj as Rajasekar. Shruti Haasan takes on the role of Preethi, with Reba Monica John and Junior MGR playing pivotal characters. Adding to the buzz, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is set to make a special cameo appearance.

Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who also co-wrote the dialogues with Chandhru Anbazhagan, Coolie is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Girish Gangadharan and editor Philomin Raj, while Anirudh Ravichander's music further elevates anticipation for this action-packed spectacle.
