AFK- Away From Keyboard: Dice Media's Latest GenZ Vs Millennials Workplace Comedy Drama Is Streaming Now!

Mumbai, May 2025- AFK - Away From Keyboard, Dice Media's latest workplace comedy-drama, is now streaming on their YouTube channel. Produced by Pocket Aces' long-form content studio - Dice Media, the show is set in the high-stakes world of a bustling startup and brings to life the chaos of modern work culture - from toxic bosses and blurred boundaries to the laugh-out-loud tensions between Gen Z and Millennial coworkers.
AFK offers a sharp yet heartfelt take on office life today. With themes like burnout, hustle culture, and intergenerational clashes, it's a series that's as relatable as it is entertaining - perfectly capturing the trials, and occasional triumphs of working in a digital-first world.
Set in a fast-growing mental health tech startup, AFK - Away From Keyboard follows Maya (played by Pragati Nagpal), a Gen Z designer navigating a workplace run by well-meaning but traditional millennial bosses. What starts as a dream job quickly reveals the realities of unrealistic expectations, long hours, and unspoken power dynamics.
The five-episode series features a strong ensemble cast including Arjun Deswal, Shubham Jadhav (comedian and digital creator), Mrinmayee Godbole, Saadhika Syal, and Akash Dhar, with Sachin Darekar at the helm as director.
"There's a bit of Maya in so many of us," says Pragati Nagpal. "She's idealistic, outspoken, and learning how to hold her ground in a world that often dismisses young voices. Her journey mirrors what a lot of Gen Z professionals are experiencing today-figuring out how to stay true to themselves while navigating corporate expectations. I think a lot of young professionals will see themselves in her journey."
Arjun Deswal, who plays Chirag, adds, "AFK is a relatable story that doesn't villainize any generation. It shows how beautiful both mindsets can be and the power of open-mindedness. The show is made with love and positivity, and I'm sure we'll get that in return. Playing Chirag was fun, as I had to adapt to old and new ways of thinking. Growing the beard and gaining weight to look older was also quite enjoyable in retrospect."
Director Sachin Darekar shares, "We wanted to keep the tone real and conversational, something that reflects the unfiltered thoughts we all have at work but rarely voice. AFK - Away From Keyboard isn't just a show about work; it's about the people we become because of work. And I think that's what will stay with the audience."
"I've noticed a clear difference at work - Gen Z knows how to set boundaries and switch off after hours, while Millennials often embrace hustle culture and go the extra mile. Our new web series, Away From Keyboard (AFK), isn't about who's right or wrong, it's about starting an honest conversation. We're confident audiences will see themselves in these stories and join the dialogue," said Vishwanath Shetty, D2C Head at Pocket Aces.
With its unique mix of workplace drama, generational conflict, and subtle romantic tension, the show has already struck a chord with viewers, especially young professionals juggling ambition, anxiety, and adulting.
