Hidden Love spin-off cdrama The First Frost will follow the story of Sang Zhi's (played by Zhao Lusi) brother, Sang Yan, who also happened to be Duan Jiaxu's (Chen Zheyuan) best friend. In Hidden Love, Victor Ma portrayed the character of Sang Zhi. In The First Frost, Chinese actor and singer Bai Jingting took up the role of Sang Yan. He will be seen romancing Zhang Ruonan. The Chinese actress has stepped into the shoes of Wen Yi Fan.

The cdrama will follow the story of two high school-mates Sang Yan and Wen Hi Fan.Wen Hi Fan fell in love with Sang Yan when she was in high school. But some problem occurred and the two lost touch. Years later, the duo accidentally become each other's roommates. How the two rekindle their romance will form the rest of the story.

The First Frost (cdrama) will be streaming on Youku and Netflix. While the Netflix streaming will be available in selected regions, viewers in India can stream the show on Youku. Amid high anticipation, The First Frost will premiere on Youku on 18th February 2025 (Tuesday). The first four episodes will be released on 18th Feb on Youku and Netflix and the two episodes will be dropped everyday online.
