Chutney Sambar OTT Release: Actor Yogi Babu is set to star in the upcoming Disney+ Hotstar original series "Chutney Sambar," alongside Chandran, Vani Bhojan, Nithin Sathya, Elango Kumaravel, and Myna Nandhini. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Radhamohan, this series marks Yogi Babu's debut in a leading role in a full-length series.

In tribute to Leonardo da Vinci's 'The Last Supper' mural, the first look of the series features Yogi Babu and Vani Bhojan, along with the ensemble cast, seated around a dining table filled with plates of idlis and vadas. A framed portrait of actor Nizhalgal Ravi's character hangs on the wall in the background. In the trailer, Yogi Babu is featured as a cook, and the plot centres around an eatery in Ooty, Tamil Nadu.

Chutney Sambar boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring Yogi Babu, Vani Bhojan, Chandran, Nithin Sathya, Elango Kumaravel, and Myna Nandhini.

Disney+ Hotstar announced the series on July 15, 2023. Produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under Vels Film International, the series is directed by Radha Mohan, known for "Kaatrin Mozhi" (2018) and "Bommai" (2023). This marks his debut in a limited series. The cinematography is by Prasanna Kumar, editing by Jijendran, and music by Ajesh.

This marks Yogi Babu's first lead role in a full-length series, following his appearance in a segment of Netflix's anthology series "Navarasa." Actress Vani Bhojan plays the female lead, with Chandramouli, Elango, and Nithin Sathya in supporting roles. Vani Bhojan previously worked with Radha Mohan on the film "Malaysia to Amnesia," which had a direct release on Zee5 in 2021.
