Kamal Haasan Moves Away From Indian 3; What's In Store For Shankar's Film?
Reportedly, the veteran actor has absolutely no plans to reshoot his portions in Indian 3, anytime soon. Even though director Shankar previously confirmed that he is planning to reshoot a few portions of the film, the grapevine suggests that both Kamal Haasan and producer Lyca Productions, are strictly against this idea.
According to the grapevine the reason behind this reluctance of the legendary actor and the production house, is obviously the massive financial loss caused by the colossal failure of Indian 2. Along with failing at the box office, the cinephiles have been also calling the Shankar directorial the worst film in the careers of both Kamal Haasan and the celebrated filmmaker.
Earlier, director Shankar had assured that Indian 3 will indeed see light of day, and even revealed that he intends to start working on the project, soon. But, the recent updates suggest that the decision of OTT partner Netflix to leave the project, and the highly tough financial situation of Lyca Productions, made this things difficult for the revival of the third installment.
Now, Kamal Haasan has decided to fully dedicate himself to acting yet again, with back-to-back projects including Kalki 2898 AD sequel, the upcoming Anbarivu directorial, and KH x RK which marks his reunion with superstar Rajinikanth. This new development now confirms that the legendary actor has indeed moved away from Indian 3. Shankar, on the other hand, is expected to launch his dream project Velpari, soon.
