Ankusam completes shooting

Shooting has been completed for Ankusam, which is inspired by the Dr. Rajasekhar starrer of the same name. Directed and produced by Vijaykumar Reddy under Pakhya Celluloids banner, the movie stars Srinath, Ritesh, Sangeetha, Keerti Chawla and Anita.

Producer-director Vijaykumar Reddy said, "We are making the film more attractive than the earlier Ankusam in which Dr Rajasekhar was the hero. We just completed the shooting and launched the dubbing activities. It is the story of a mafia gang which runs brothels with the help of some corrupt police officials. Six girls, after severe physical harassment, are dumped in the drains. Of them, three die; three survive and get admitted to hospital in a critical condition. Based on the girls' statements and the clues, the entire mafia gang gets caught. How the police trace the mafia forms the rest of the story."

Anita, Uttej, Sriman, Jayaprakash Reddy, Rallapalli, Mallikarjuna Rao, Anandraj, Tirupati Prakash, Sriman, Vijayababu, Sakuntala and others are in the supporting cast. Sahiti has written the lyrics which are set to Maria Manohar's music. Camera has been handled by Abu Shah and Amar. M. Shankar and K. Itrish have done some creative editing, while V. Vijaykumar Reddy has handled the story, dialogues, screenplay, production and direction.
