Dasari Narayan Rao hospitalized

The powerhouse of Telugu film industry, Dasari Narayan Rao was hospitalized about four days ago due to a kidney-related health problem. He is recuperating in the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology. Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, who had attended Vishnuvardhan"s wedding, noticed that Dasari, a close friend of the groom's father (Dr. Mohan Babu), was noticeably absent. On inquiring, he learnt that the veteran producer was ill and went to visit Dasari.

Politician, film director and producer, Dasari Narayan Rao has directed over 150 films, produced around 53 films and pitched in as lyricist and dialogue writer in around 250 films. He's currently acting in his home-production, Meistry (also spelt Maistri), a political satire of sorts. Mohan Babu has a very pivotal cameo in this movie, which is set to release at a time when Chiranjeevi will be in the thick of his political campaign.
