Genelia banned from Tollywood

Bubbly Genelia D'Souza has come under the scrutiny of Movie Artistes" Association (MAA) after she failed to register her name in the organisation. It has imposed a ban on her from the Telugu film industry till she takes the membership in the actors' association.

MAA had issued notices to several top names like Trisha Krishnan, Shreya Saran, Ileana D'Cruz, Priyamani, Tamanna Bhatia, etc. a few months ago. However, Genelia neither responded to their request nor has registered her name in the association, which forced the actors guild to act tough against the actress.

The act will come into effect immediately after the completion of her forthcoming movie Naa Ishtam, which star Rana Daggubati in the lead role.
