Why was Nagarjuna's Damarukam release postponed thrice?
It is already known that Damarukam is the biggest budget movie in the acting career of Akkineni Nagarjuna. The producers of the film have invested more than Rs 42 crores on it. According to reports, the movie failed to recover this amount even after the sale of its theatrical distribution rights and the makers were facing a deficit of around Rs 11 crore.
During its production Dr Venkat, the producer of Damarukam, had reportedly borrowed a huge amount of money from a noted film financier, who demanded to clear his dues (Rs 10 crore) before its release. Since they could not settle it, the financier stalled its release.
However, Nagarjuna has finally intervened and put an end to the financial crisis of Damarukam producer. Reports suggest that the actor has returned his remuneration (Rs 5 crore) for the film. Now, the makers have reportedly managed to clear the dues and are gearing up to release it on November 23. It should be seen whether it will hit the screens on this date or not.
