Bollywood Classics Return to the Big Screen: Devdas, Tere Naam and Yuva Re-Release This February

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Devdas hit theatres in 2002 with Shah Rukh Khan essaying the iconic titular role, joined by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit. Based on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s timeless novel, the film was celebrated for its opulent scale and went on to become the most expensive Indian production of its era. The classic is set to return to cinemas on February 6.

Released in 2004, Yuva, directed by Mani Ratnam, brought together a powerful ensemble cast featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi, Esha Deol, Rani Mukerji, and Kareena Kapoor. The film explores the intertwined journeys of three young men from contrasting backgrounds, whose lives are dramatically changed by a single act of violence. Acclaimed for its layered narrative and strong political undertones, Yuva stands as a notable work in Mani Ratnam’s filmography and is set to re-release in theatres on February 20.

Directed by Satish Kaushik, Tere Naam proved to be a defining chapter in Salman Khan’s career. The intense romantic drama marked Bhumika Chawla’s Bollywood debut and was adapted from the Tamil film Sethu, which starred Vikram in the lead. Though it received mixed reactions upon release, the film left a lasting impact with Salman’s powerful performance and a hit soundtrack. Over time, Tere Naam has gained cult status, making its theatrical re-release on February 27 a much-awaited moment for fans.

February 2026 will see a mix of romance and thrill on the big screen, beginning with Paro Pinaki Ki Kahani on February 6, a social-romantic drama centered on a grounded and realistic love story. February 13 brings two contrasting releases, O Romeo, a gripping thriller starring Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri, and Tu Yaa Main, a romance-thriller featuring Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav. Rounding off the romantic offerings, Do Deewane Seher Mein arrives on February 20, showcasing Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur in a heartfelt love story.

February is packed with diverse theatrical releases, starting with Vadh 2, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! Fun on the Run, and Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past arriving on February 6. The mid-month slate includes O’ Romeo, a crime drama starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, and the survival thriller Tu Yaa Main on February 13, followed by the historical epic Veer Murarbaji on February 19. Romantic drama Do Deewane Seher Mein hits cinemas on February 20, while the month concludes with The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond releasing on February 27, promising a mix of genres for moviegoers.
