Most Awaited Animated Movies On OTT: Moana 2, Mufasa on JioHotstar, Prime Video and Many more

Mufasa: The Lion King will start streaming on JioHotstar from March 26, 2025. The prequel explores Mufasa’s journey from an orphaned cub to a legendary king. Released in theaters on December 20, 2024, the film features voices by Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Shah Rukh Khan in the Hindi version.

After an unexpected call from her ancestors, Moana embarks on a journey across the distant seas of Oceania, leading her into a daring adventure unlike anything she has ever faced. Moana 2 premiered in theaters on November 29, 2024, and began streaming on JioHotstar on March 14. 

The film follows Roz, an intelligent robot who becomes stranded on a remote, uninhabited island. To survive its harsh conditions, she forms a bond with the island’s animals. The Wild Robot premiered in theaters on October 18, 2024, and became available for streaming on January 24, 2025.

The movie follows Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails as they reunite to face a formidable new foe—Shadow, a mysterious and powerful villain. To counter his strength, Team Sonic seeks an alliance that can match their abilities. Sonic 3 premiered in theaters on January 3, 2025, and is now available for rental on Prime Video. The release date for free streaming has yet to be announced.

Coco is a 2017 animated film from Disney-Pixar that follows 12-year-old Miguel, who dreams of becoming a musician despite his family's ban on music. His journey leads him to the vibrant Land of the Dead, where he uncovers his family's long-hidden secrets. Coco is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in India.
