Malayalm film industry is well-known for many successful actor-director duos like Priyadarshan - Mohanlal, Joshiy - Mammootty, Suresh Gopi – Shaji Kailas and many more. Priyadarshan and Mohanlal combination will never fails to impress their audience. Their combination will always makes people to laugh loud. The duo has made fifteen movies together. The film 'Poochakkoru Mukkuthi' is the directorial  debut of film maker Priyadarshan along with Mohnlal. It  also marked their first collaboration. The film was released in theaters in 1984 had received  good responses. Since then, they had delivered many super hits films like Chithram, Akkare Akkare Akkare, Killukam, Minnaram, Thenmavin Kombath, Vandanam, Oppam, Marakkar and many more. 


Joshiy - Mammootty

Joshi who worked for first time along with actor Mammootty for the film 'Aa Rathri'. The film marked the first collaboration of director Joshiy with Mammotty.  The film was hit the theaters in 1983, and has emerged as a blockbuster hit movie of that year.  'Sainyam' is the another successful movie of director collaborated with Mammotty. Apart from Mammootty, the film also featured Mukesh, Dileep, Mohini, Priya Raman and Dileep. The duo has produced several block buster movies during 1990's.

Sathyan Anthikkad – Jayaram

This duo's will always make their audience emotional with heart-touching story and performances. Jayaram, who worked for the first time with director Sathyan Anthikkad for the film 'Sandesham' was superhit at the box-office. After long time wait, the duo again joined their hand together for the film 'Manassinakkare'. The well-written screen play and perfect casting led the film to become successful at the box-office.



Suresh Gopi – Shaji Kailas

Shaji Kailas is one of the popular director in Malayalam cinema, is also best known for his classic action and mass entertainer movies. He is the close friend of actor Suresh Gopi and has also directed several hit movies together. The 1989 release 'News' is the first collaboration of Shaji Kailas with Suresh Gopi. It was the first solo hit movie of the actor Suresh Gopi. After that, they had worked together for the superhit films like Thalasthanam, Commissioner, Ekalavyan and Mafia. 

Vineeth Sreenivasan -Nivin Pauly

Vineeth Sreenivasan made his directorial debut in 2010 with 'Malarvadi Arts Club'.The film also marked the debut film of actor Nivin Pauly. It was a feel-good movie, which evokes the emotions of happiness and bonding. After success of his debut film, again Nivin Pauly joined his hands with Vineeth for the film 'Thattathin Marayathu'.The film was made on a small budget and had collected Rs 19 crores at the box-office.
