This Week’s Bollywood Releases (26 Sept): Homebound, Janaawar, Tu Meri Poori Kahani & More

Homebound is an upcoming bollywood drama movie directed by Masaan director Neeraj Ghaywan, featuring Ishaan Khattar and Vishal Jethwa in lead roles. The film also stars an extensive supporting cast, including Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Dubey, Shreedhar Dubey, Harshika Parmar, Tushar Phulke, Reem Shaikh, Shalini Vatsa, and many more. The movie is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Adar Poonawalla under Dharma Production. 

Tara and Akash: Love Beyond Realms is an upcoming romantic sci-fi drama directed by Srinivas Abrol, starring Alankrita Bora and Jitesh Thakur in lead roles. The film also features a talented supporting cast, including Anas Habib, Amol Palekar, Deepti Naval, Brijendra Kala, and more. The story follows Tara, who during her solo trip to Switzerland, forms a magical and profound connection with Akash, a mystical light being. Their bond, intertwined with the essence of her cherished novel, transcends time as they explore the enchanting landscapes together.

Tu Meri Puri Kahaani is an upcoming Romantic Drama directed by Suhrita Das, featuring Hiranya Ojha, Arhaan Patel in lead roles. The film also stars an extensive supporting cast, including Shammi Duhan, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Juhi Babbar, Avtar Gill, Uday Chandra, and many more. Tu Meri Puri Kahaani is produced by Ajay Murdia under An Indira Entertainment.

The upcoming ZEE5 original crime drama, premiering on September 26, 2025, stars Bhuvan Arora alongside Bhagwan Tiwari, Atul Kale, Vaibhav Yashvir, and others. The series follows Sub-Inspector Hemant Kumar, a tribal officer in the rural town of Chhand, as he investigates a string of chilling crimes, including a headless corpse, stolen gold, and a missing man. Hemant must navigate the criminal underworld, systemic bias, and his own inner struggles while trying to restore peace to the town.

Dhadak 2, featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, was released on August 1, 2025. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film is both a remake of the critically acclaimed Tamil drama Pariyerum Perumal (2018) and a spiritual follow-up to the 2018 hit Dhadak. Netflix has been confirmed as the official OTT platform, with the film likely arriving for streaming between September 12 and September 26, 2025.
