Top Five Bollywood Box-office Hit Movies Re-released Before SSR's MS Dhoni: The Untold Story

Imtiaz Ali's 'Jab We Met ' is one of most loved romantic movies in Bollywood. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in lead role, the film was well-received by audiece as well as critics. According to rreports, the film had collected Rs 50.9 crores from the box office. After a long wait, the film re-released on the last year Valentines day in PVR cinemas. The film had collected Rs 6 lakhs on the third day of its release.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is a story about Raj Malhotra, played by Shah Rukh Khan, and Simran (Kajol), who fall in love during their vacation in Europe. The film is the most romantic  blockbuster movie in Hindi. Released in 1995, DDLJ  is the longest-running movie in the history of Indian cinema. In 2022, on the occasion of King Khan's Birthday , the film was re-released in theaters on limited screens. As per reports, the film had earned Rs 25 lakhs at the box-office. 

Tamasha, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, is one of the romantic movies in Bollywood. Helmed by Imtiaz Ali, the film was hit the theaters in 2015 and received mixed response from the audience. The film was re-released in theaters on the last year had received good response and  fifty percentage of audience occupancy. 

The film 'Amar Akbar Anthony' is one of the Bollywood's highest grossing movies, is also considered as a classic. Featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna in the lead roles, the film was re-released in 2020 on the occasion of Amitabh Bachchan's birthday .

The blockbuster hit film 'Sholy' was re-released in 2014 had received mixed responses from the audience. According to reports, , the 3D version of the film failed to impress the audience due to lack of original content.
