Ajay Devgn, is an Indian Film actor,producer and director who is prominent in Bollywood films.He is one of the finest actors in the Hindi film Industry, who is known for best films like Gangajal, Raid, Rajneeti, Singham Returns, and Drishyam. In 2016, the actor received Padma Shri for his incredible performance over the years and contributed a lot to the industry.    Personal Life  Born as Vishal Veeru Devgn to Veeru Devgn and Veena Devgn in Delhi. The actor changed his name to Ajay Devgn for his on-screen entry.His father Veeru Devgn is a popular stunt master and his mother Veena Devgn is a film producer in Bollywood Industry.Ajay Devgan has two sisters Neelam and Kavita and a cousin brother Anil Devgn, who died at the age of 51.    After completing his graduation from  Mithibai College in Mumbai, the actor entered the Bollywood film Industry. The actor married popular Bollywood actress Kajol in 1999 and the couple is blessed with two children.    Career Life  Ajay Devgn started his acting career as a child artist in the film 'Bapu's Pyari Behna'in 1985.In this film, the actor portrayed the childhood character of Mithun Chakraborty role. In 1991, he acted in the film'Phool Aur Kantee', the film was a super hit, and the actor won his first Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. From there, Ajay Devgn was known as an action hero in Bollywood Industry.    He stepped into the industry as an action hero, but later he began acting as a romantic hero in the films like 'Ishq','Dilwale','Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha' and ' Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' .The actor who plays a lead role and received critical appreciation for his stellar performance in the film “Hum Dil de Chuke Sanam”.     In 1998, another film 'Zakhm 'was released helmed by Mahesh Bhatt. The actor shared his screen space with Pooja Bhatta and Kunal Kemu in the film. It was a commercial failure movie, but Ajay got the first National award for the film.    The actor, become known as an action and comedy hero in 2000. The movies like Company, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Gangaajal, Apaharan, and Golmaal: Fun Limited are the best movies he did in late 1999's. Ajay Devgan got his second National Award for the film The Legend of Bhagat Singh in 2002.    In 2015,Ajay Devgn who plays a lead role in the film Drishyam along with Shriya Saran and Tabu.The actor again, proved himself to he is perfect in the role of a serious man in the film. Like a crime thriller, the film was a huge hit at the box office. Drishyam is the remake of a Malayalam Film with the same title, starring Mohan lal,Meena and Asha Sharath in lead roles.    As an actor, Ajay Devgn will never disappoint his fans from action films to comedy thrillers. He grabbed the audience's attention with his lead role in the film Golmaal Again. It was a box office success film and one of the highest-grossing films in 2017.    In 2020, Ajay Devgn bagged the National Award for best actor for his titular role in 'Tanhaji:The Unsung Warrior".The film was a box office hit and grossed Rs.3.67 billion worldwide. Later, he plays a cameo role in the movie 'RRR'directed by Rajamouli in 2022, It was the biggest hit film of the year.      Producer and Director   Besides acting, the actor is a director and producer of Bollywood Films. In 2000, launched his production house 'Ajay Devgn Films'. The actor has done the production and direction of the movies such as U Me Aur Hum(2008) and Shivaay(2016).    Awards and Recognition   Ajay Devgn won three national awards for best actor for the films such as Zakhm, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. He received the Padma Shri Award from the Government of India in 2017.
