Personal Life
Born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Meghanathan was the third child of Balan K. Nair, a legendary actor celebrated for his versatile performances in Malayalam cinema, and Sarada Nair. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the arts, Meghanathan inherited a passion for acting, which later became the cornerstone of his illustrious career.

He carved a niche for himself in the Malayalam film and television industry with his compelling performances, particularly in antagonist roles, earning recognition and respect from audiences and peers alike. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Meghanathan was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife, Susmitha, who supported him throughout his career, and their daughter, Parvathi.

Career Journey
Meghanathan began his journey in the Malayalam film industry as a studio boy in the film Astram, directed by P.N. Menon. His acting potential was first noticed in the Mohanlal-starrer Panchagni, and his portrayal of Raghu in Ee Puzhayum Kadannu earned him widespread recognition and audience admiration.

Over the years, he worked alongside some of the most renowned actors and filmmakers, leaving a legacy of unforgettable performances. On the professional front, Meghanathan was last seen in the Malayalam cinema Kooman which was released in 2022


Death
Veteran Malayalam actor Meghanathan passed away on November 21, 2024, at a hospital in Kozhikode. He was 60 and had been battling a lung ailment. Known for his impactful performances in Malayalam cinema and television, his demise is a significant loss to the industry.
