A Complete Unknown Story
A Complete Unknown is an American biographical musical drama film directed by James Mangold, with Timothée Chalamet in the lead role.
Co-written by Mangold and Jay Cocks, the film features a stellar cast, including Edward Norton, Monica Barbaro, Scoot McNairy, Elle Fanning, and Boyd Holbrook. Based on Elijah Wald’s 2015 book Dylan Goes Electric!, the film explores Bob Dylan’s early folk music success, culminating in the historic controversy surrounding his electric performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. A Complete Unknown premiered at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on December 10, 2024, and was released in the United States by Searchlight Pictures on December 25, 2024.
Release Date
A Complete Unknown is set to hit Indian theatres on February 28, 2025.
