Iyer in Arabia Story

Iyer in Arabia is a Malayalam comedy movie directed by Nishad M. A. The film features Dhyan Sreenivasan, Mukesh, and Urvashi in the lead roles.

Written by the director himself, the movie is produced by Vignesh Vijayakumar Menon. Siddharth Ramaswamy handled the cinematography and editing by John Kutty. Anand Madhusoodhanan composed music for the movie.

Movie Plot

The story revolves around a retired officer named Sreenivasa Iyer and his wife, college professor Jhansi Rani. Jhansi Rani holds views opposite to the Iyyars, who adhere strictly to their religion, caste, and cultural norms. She openly opposes the traditional beliefs and cultural impositions upheld by the Iyyars and the caste fanatics around her. Sreenivasan raised his son, Rahul Iyer, instilling in him their faith and cultural values, and restricting his autonomy. However, Sreenivasan is shattered when Rahul secures a job in Dubai and further devastated when he discovers Rahul's love for a girl from a different religious background.
